Connor started Martial Arts at six years old, earning his black belt in Shotokan Karate whilst winning several national titles in Kumite. At age 11, Connor discovered MMA, piquing his interest in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Connor began training at this early age, eventually earning his blue belt. At this stage he then joined Checkmat, where he competed on an international stage consistently in both BJJ and MMA. After earning his black belt under Steve O’Keeffe in 2021, Connor joined the British Army as an Officer in the Irish Guards. Connor now competes for the Army BJJ team, recently winning two silver medals in the IBJJF Lisbon international open. Connor has a passion for teaching; combining his knowledge of tactics and fundamentals to instill a thorough understanding of Jiu Jitsu in all of his students.
